Celebrity Hairstylist | Mira Bella Salon and Day Spa
Miranda Phipps is a licensed cosmetologist and salon owner from Cincinnati, Ohio. She is also the mother to a wonderful young teen named Russell. She received her cosmetology license in 2004 and began her career part time while attending the University of Cincinnati. Upon completion of college, Miranda discovered her love for hair and helping people feel even better about themselves was an undeniable passion. She started focusing on increasing her hair education and finding her strengths. Overtime she began to realize her love for natural hair, hair color and especially locs.
In 2013, Miranda joined the Kirk Pro professional haircare line as a product distributor. International award winning hairstylist and educator Kevin Kirk is her mentor and constantly pushes her to the next level. As Kevin Kirk filled her with education in hair, he also began to develop her public speaking skills. This lead to Miranda becoming a platform artist in which she teaches Kirk Pro knowledge and methods at hair shows across the country.
Over the years Miranda’s clientele increased with her professionalism and the popularity of her work being recognized in the area. As she stepped out her shell, she was able to gain the trust of celebrity clients such as Cincinnati Bengals players Adam “Pacman” Jones, Josh Shaw, their wives and many more.
Miranda is active in the community and loves to encourage others to give back. In December 2016, she started an annual free makeover day titled, “A NEW YOU”. It encourages people to feel better going into the following year. This event gathers volunteer stylist and barbers and is held at Korporate Kuts Barbershop located downtown. The volunteers donate their services to participants of Cincinnati Works and the homeless. In addition to makeovers, Chef Torrie productions provides a warm meal. Leading up to the event Miranda and the team collect hats, socks, gloves, chap sticks, sturdy bags and blankets to service 100 homeless and less fortunate individuals. Donations have come from clients, strangers, family, Meijer’s, Sam’s club, Jeff Ruby’s, Kirk Products and Walmart. During the event Josh Shaw and Adam “Pacman” Jones have come to visit the participants and spread cheer.
In 2016, Miranda opened her first salon in which she named “MIRA BELLA SALON AND DAY SPA” . Mira means wonderful and peace, while Bella means beautiful. She wishes all guest a wonderful and peaceful beauty experience. In November 2017, her work for Kirk Pro on a male model was published in the beauty industries top magazine, Modern Salon. These experiences encourage Miranda to keep pushing forward in the beauty industry as well as the community. Her overall goal in life is to make people look good and feel great about themselves.
